Divine Delphi and Galaxidi Private Excursion (Self-Drive)

The journey begins!
Exit the hustle and bustle of the city center towards the tranquil Greek countryside. On your way to Delphi’s famous site, exiting the highway, you will cross the plateau of Thebes, the birthplace of the mythological Pan-Hellenic hero Hercules.

While start elevating the slopes of Mt. Parnassus, you can make a detour to visit the impressive Byzantine monastery of Hosios Loukas.

Your local state-licensed guide will be waiting for you at Delphi, a World Heritage site, recognized by UNESCO, once believed to be the Centre of the world and the place where Apollo spoke through Pythia at his oracle. The site and the geophysical beauty of the surrounding area are breath-taking, offering stunning views of the olive-grove of Amfissa.

Once your guided tour is over, you will have the freedom and flexibility to decide on your next exploration area. You may choose between the mountainous yet cosmopolitan village of Arachova or the beautiful seaside town of Galaxidi.

While journeying back to Athens, if you have time, you could make a short stop at Krya springs, in the city of Levadia, for a stroll on the paved pedestrian zone under the large plane trees.
