Day 0: Arrival & Settling In

Upon arrival you will be transferred by a luxury private vehicle from Athens International Airport to your central located hotel. After some time to relax and settle down you will meet your professional "Insider" photographer, who will accompany you throughout your trip. Before dinner we will have an orientation session and a walk around Plaka as it comes alive for the night. Following dinner at a restaurant under the Acropolis, you will enjoy the famous nightlife of Athens and also take photos of this never-sleeping city. 

Day 1: Athens

After your breakfast, your day will begin with a private guided tour of the Acropolis and its Parthenon, where you can capture this magnificent monument and also enjoy panoramic views of Athens. From there you will make your way to Areopagus – also called 'Mars Hill' – and the Pnyx, then down to the civic center of Ancient Athens , the Agora. From there you will continue with a stroll through Plaka, Monastiraki and Syntagma areas to see the street life, food markets, and the changing of the guards in front of the Parliament on Syntagma (Constitution) square.

Day 2: Into the Peloponnese

Starting early in the morning you will set-off towards the Corinthian Gulf, with a stop at the famous Corinth Canal. Then you will turn inland to visit the ruins of Ancient Corinth and the mythical area of Nemea.

Apart from the Lion of the Herculean Myth the area is also famous for its vineyards and wineries and that’s exactly where you will indulge in: a wine tasting followed by a delicious lunch in one of the most prestigious wineries of the area. In the afternoon you will drive up the Arcadian mountains to the village of Dimitsana and visit the open-air water-power museum.

Day 3: Wild Nature of the Peloponnese peninsula

Your day will start with a trek through the spectacular Lousios Gorge, also visiting Philosophou and Prodromou monasteries, as well as ancient Gortys. You will then have the chance to sate your appetite at a local tavern of a nearby village. You will then drive down to the atmospheric town of Nafplio by the sea. In the evening you will enjoy your dinner at a local restaurant in Nafplio followed a night walk and photo-shoot.

Day 4: Ancient Places
 
Your day will be dedicated to the exploration of two major Bronze Age archeological sites: Mycenae, where the Palace of Agamemnon, the leader of the Greeks during the Trojan War, is found, and Tiryns, which was the location from which mythical hero Hercules performed his 12 labors. After you have built a healthy appetite you will indulge in a fine meal at one of Nafplio's top restaurants. The rest of your day will be at leisure.

Day 5: To the Sea and the Greek Islands

This day's morning will be dedicated to the exploration of the Venetian fortress of Palamidi that dominates Nafplio and the Bourtzi Castle located in the middle of the harbor. Both structures were part of the successive efforts of the Venetians to fortify this important trading port from Ottoman conquest. Following lunch, you will head to Ermioni Port in order to embark the boat which will take you to Hydra. Hydra is a picturesque island, famous for its traditional architecture, the fact that automobiles are forbidden, and its prominent role and contribution to the war of independence against the Ottomans.

Day 6: Athens

Next morning, with plenty of time to see the fishermen coming in with their catch, you will prepare to leave this lovely island in order to visit ancient Epidaurus, where you will also have lunch in its quiet bay. In the afternoon you will stop at Eleusis, the epicenter of the Eleusinian Cult’s Mysteries, where Hades took Persephone down to the Underworld. You will end your day with a delicious seafood dinner in Piraeus and night shots of its harbor before returning to your hotel in Athens.

Day 7: Attica region
 
This day  will be dedicated to the archeological sites of Marathon and Poseidon's Temple in Cape Sounio. The former is the location of the famous namesake battle between Athenians and the Plataean allies against the Persians during the first Persian invasion of Greece in 490 B.C.E. ;the latter marks the spot from which Aegeus plunged into the sea, naming it in the process, while a magnificent half-preserved temple dedicated to god of sea Poseidon graces the promontory.

Day 8: Departure
 
Your epic journey is about to come to an end. It is time to bid your newly-found friends farewell and head to the airport for your flight back home.
